My son ran and I ran into one of his old teachers and a school aid at the coffee shop we frequent. She is now retired so it was a pleasant surprise to see her. She was a very good teacher for Alex. I was in the middle of my first sketch when the men came and sat blocking my view. No big deal, they were just as interesting to draw.

this is such a good lesson in drawing: not to be so wedded to your first subject that when another blocks it you don’t realize it’s another good subject! YESSSS.
Liz you are so right! Thanks for your comments.
There are opportunities everywhere !
Thanks Alissa… You are SO right.
Ha, that would drive me crazy! But the sketches are lovely.
Caatje, thank you! I was hoping to finish the first sketch since it was my son’s old teacher and a school assistant he know. Oh well. The guys had lots of character though.
You have to make the most of what yu se, great sketches!
Thanks Cathy!
Lovely sketches as always =)
I love the sketch of Mrs L. especially – you’ve captured such a lot in very few lines
