I really like cracking open a brand new Moleskine sketchbook for a fresh start to the new year. For the first sketch I chose to try and quick sketch the mess of new showshoes drying in front of our fireplace. We bought these as a belated family Christmas gift to ourselves and are looking forward to using them some more this winter.

A great start to the year. Congratulations on starting a new Moleskine . It is always exciting . A Happy and creative New Year
This may be any ëveryday”scene for you, but to me in sunny Sydney, your snowshoes and fireplace is so foreign . I hope your new purchases get lots of use !
Thanks Alissa. It’s been getting close to zero degrees Fahrenheit here the last few days. I would love some warm sun right now.
Love the snowshoes drying – sketches a delight to look at, as always. Happy New Year to you and yours, and I look forward to the appearance of further pages in the Moleskine.
Thank you Jane!
Happy New Year to you, Rebecca! We are back from a Christmas spent in Switzerland, where these snowshoes would have come in useful … Look forward to seeing how you choose to fill up the new Moleskine.
Thank you Sue! Switzerland sounds wonderful. What a great Christmas!
Sorry to hear that you have health problems, Rebecca. But they don’t show in your art — it’s full of energy and life, lovely to see.
Thank you Liz for your kind encouraging words.
